Battle for Brisbane - Round 3
The Hype Gaming team attended the third round of Battle for Brisbane on sunday at GUF Brisbane Internet Cafe, hosted by jimNeso and Mavrick, sponsored by dfrag.tv and PacificES. The competition itself was a success with it running smoothly, having no major issues, and the day being enjoyed by all. The team's lineup for this competition ANIMUS, syliX, IroN, cbz (who flew up from Sydney!) and old hype veteran stryder.
The boys competed hard all day with some good wins of team UKI and Pussy Patrol, and finished their group matches out with a nail-biting close loss to Bald Krew (16-14) on dust2. Moving into the finals, the team came up against dinQ who our very own goomba was playing for. The first map inferno was one by dinQ, the second was cbble and our Hype Gaming boys won that game comfortably, and finally a tight finish in overpass left dinQ as the semi-final victors. To conclude with, Hype Gaming bested yesDad in the 3rd/4th playoffs to take our 3rd spot for round 3 of Battle for Brisbane.
The team now looks toward the Finals next month and are aiming to take out that #1 spot. To do that, the boys will have to defeat the strong teams of yesDad and dinQ, and find a way to finally overcome Bald Krew. The boys seem excited and up for the challenge, and you will have to tune in on twitch.tv/dfragtv on the 28th June to find out what happens!
